The conversation at tRtM is dedication to reproduction - a fundamental thread that unites humanity. Humans are united by the bonds of birth and life. And sometimes death. These are some of the most fundamentally human and raw experiences.

At tRtM we aim to explore:

  • the efforts leading up to pregnancy including IVF, fertility, decisions to not have children.... etc

  • all the tragic events that it may involve including miscarriage, genetic abnormalities, abortion, cervical insufficiency, molar pregnancies, ectopic pregnancies... etc

  • and events that may occur during/after the delivery itself including stillbirth, maternal hemorrhage, eclampsia... etc

These traumatic experiences are alarmingly common, but rarely discussed. The numbers above seem "too high" because they are often processed alone or held privately with shame. They may feel too personal to share with even the closest people in your life.

At tRtM, we hope to remove the stigma around these moments while supporting the people behind these raw, life altering events. If you feel like your story is too raw for daylight, we are here with you. You are not alone on this journey.

Behind each number is a story.

Her story.

Your story.

My story.

Our stories.

Lets journey together on this road to motherhood.

(m)other: a reminder that the title of 'mother' can be gained many ways. As bio-mom, foster-mom, auntie-became-mom, etc. It's also a nod to the 'other' who may be involved; surrogacy or gestational carriers, egg or embryo donations, adoption, etc.

Whether you are trying to process your own emotions or you want to understand the experience of your partner, sister, daughter, or someone else you love…

I hope tRtM can provide support and help you through your healing journey.

tRtM is a place of vulnerability.

It was borne from grief and brought to life during my healing process.
